G510, Fedora 14, keycodes

Hi,

Got g15daemon working with my G510 nicely, but G1-G12 keys gives function key keycodes (xev). What should I do to get correct keycodes to be sent, or have I just understood something wrong ?

Thanks a lot,
-Mika

Hi, Not sure but it seems

Hi,

Not sure but it seems that the G1-G12 seems to give actually 2 different keycodes from kernel (showkeys). At X11 side they seem to be function keys, but not sure if there is coming more than one keycode at once.

As of right now, the current

As of right now, the current version of g15daemon registers both unique keycodes as well as F-keys. I've been wondering myself if this will ever get sorted out. It seems that the multimedia keys do not work either when g15daemon is running.

Just a quick question, when you run xev and press one of the G-leys multiple times, does the key seem to get "stuck"? as in, xev reads it as if the key is being held down?

Both the disabled multimedia keys, as well as the key "sticking" are what is currently preventing me from using the keyboard with g15daemon. Does anyone else have any input for this?

Hi, For me the key doesn't

Hi,

For me the key doesn't stuck when pressing it several times or if I keep it down for a while (g15daemon). I am not sure but I assume that usbhid gives the F-key keycodes and g15deamon gives the actual Logitech keycodes. Haven't checked the functionality that well, but I think that for my case the kernel get both keys but X11 does only get the F-keys. Would like to hear any opinions why like this. Own G510 usbhid kernel module probably would make a quite a difference in this case.

I use g15deamon now event the media keys and G-keys aren't working. The touch of the keyboard is good for my taste and the LCD is nifty.
