Hello,
First of all:
Thanks!
For everything!
I am a first day Ubuntu user,..
There seems to be 2 levels of linux users: first time noobs and "experts".
And a huge gap in between. It's pretty hard to get started once you need more then the basic installation.
(drivers of 3rd part (mostly closed source) developers)
Like the Logitech G15, G13, G35, 3Dconnexion SpacePilot / UM-70 lilliput usb monitor, dual / triple monitor setups / etc.)
So some decent step by step guides would be appreciated by many newbies like me.
I'm sure of it.
I have no idea what sudo etc is. (yes I found out, commands you fill in a application labeled " TERMINAL")
applications (left side of the desktop) > installed ,.. see XX more results > Terminal
You can type here all the commands they put everywhere like (sudo apt-get etc).
To get the svn sources, you need to install subversion (networking) (sudo apt-get subversion?)
but then...
I have the subversion (svn) stuff and now what?
a baby-small step by step help is appreciated! :)
Thanks for your patience! And awesome how the community is fighting against for an open alternative to all the closed proprietary solutions!
