G15 on Linux

Hello, i got a few Questions regarding the Support of the Logitech G510.
First: How far is the G510 supported?
Second: Can i change the Backlight-Colour of the Keyboard without recompiling?
My idea:
add some Colour-Flags to the g15daemon, would be really nice…
